More about the artist
Sidd has been working with sound for his entire life. Looking at the auditory world as one of the sensory experiences has been his second nature.
Just as much as we can see, smell, taste, and touch, so can we hear.
Moving from rock guitars to tribal instruments, Sidd uses sound as a holistic lens to understand the world around. Over years of living in alternative and off-grid communities, an approach of "Intuitive Musical Exploration" emerged. An open-ended syllabus or methodology for beginner and advanced musician alike, young or old... all rooted and centred around the fact that we can 'Hear'.
This approach also highly takes into account the entheogenic perspective of ritual and togetherness. Meeting on a collective plane and journeying together in a manner akin to tribal practices around the world.
Aside from his work with fermentation, Sidd now attempts to revive some of these ancient instruments via a few routes:
-Live performances with looped tribal instruments, carnatic style guitars and electronica....
-Workshops where one can make their own instrument or even simply, collectively, understand music and sound at a base level....
-Sound Baths, utilising the vibrational power of these instruments to create spaces for therapy, catharsis and introspective exploration....
Sidd will be co-facilitating the Cacao ceremony, with a keen focus on the sense of sound, and utlising it to bring us more together.
